This alumni affinity chapter has a vision of creating an alumni community, which seeks to be engaged with Black alumni, students, faculty and staff of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. The Cal Poly Black Alumni Chapter's bylaws were officially adopted January 25, 2014.

Join us for a three-part virtual series in celebration of Black History Month. These upcoming Zoom events create space for learning, reflection, and community connection as we honor Black history, excellence, and lived experiences.

All events will be held every Wednesday in February on Zoom, beginning with our kickoff celebration on February 4. Participants are asked to register through Eventbrite to receive the Zoom link. We are excited to welcome alums James and Niecy who, since they have returned to the community, have been dedicated to creating a welcoming space for students and neighbors alike. In July, they opened their heart and space to welcome alums for Black Legacy Weekend.
