🎉 Welcome to Fall Semester, Savannah Tech!

The first day of classes is here, and we’re excited to welcome new and returning students back to campus! Whether this is your very first semester or you’re getting closer to graduation, we’re glad you’re here and ready to help you make it a great one. 💙

Be sure to stop by our Welcome Week tables Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 17 & 18, in the main lobby of each campus. Pick up a snack, grab helpful resources and get connected with the support you need for a strong start to the semester.

ALL CLEAR: Savannah Campus Power Restored

Thank you for your patience this morning! Georgia Power has successfully resolved the outage, and power is fully restored at the Savannah Campus.

âś… We will officially reopen and resume all normal operations and classes today at 12:00 PM (Noon). If your morning schedule was impacted, please check in with your instructors. See you this afternoon!

UPDATE: Savannah Campus Power Outage Extended (11:00 AM ETA)
Georgia Power has identified a failed switch causing the outage at the Savannah Campus. Crews are actively working to replace the equipment, but the estimated time for power restoration has been extended to 11:00 AM.

UPDATE: Savannah Campus Closure Extended (10:00 AM ETA)

We appreciate your continued flexibility as we work through this delay. Utility crews are still on-site working to resolve the power outage at the Savannah Campus. The estimated time for power restoration has been pushed back to 10:00 AM.

Due to a power outage, the Savannah Campus is currently CLOSED, and all administrative offices, admissions, and registration services at this specific location are delayed.

What You Need to Know right now:

🛑 Do Not Travel: Please do not commute to the Savannah Campus until further notice.

⚡ Restoration Timeline: Utility crews are on-site working on the issue, and the estimated time for power restoration is 8:00 AM.

âś… Other Campuses: All other Savannah Technical College locations are operating on their normal schedules.

We will provide updates regarding the campus reopening and the resumption of services as soon as power is restored and the facilities are deemed safe.

Savannah Technical College is hiring a Campus Police Lieutenant.

This leadership role supports the daily operations of the College’s Police Department, supervises assigned personnel and helps strengthen campus safety, emergency preparedness and officer training.

Qualified candidates must hold current Georgia P.O.S.T. certification and have at least five years of law enforcement experience. Supervisory, investigative, training or command-level experience is preferred.
