Happy Friday, friends! I’ve been noticing a lot of new faces so I thought I’d do a little introduction! 👋🏻
I’m Darcy Valentine, owner and HPIC of ValentineTheKnot 💕 I started this adventure into event planning just over 2 years ago and have helped nearly 30 couples tie the knot.
I’m a JMU grad (go dukes!) where I received my bachelors in Psych and my masters in Human Resources. I currently reside in Richmond, VA with my wonderful husband and our black lab, Bandit 🐶
When I’m not knee-deep in planning & logistics, you’ll find me either: spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, binge-watching the office (for the 57th time), or getting my butt kicked at 😅
This year is already shaping up to be my busiest one yet and I couldn’t be more excited! Wedding season here we come 🎉

My Story

I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Darcy Valentine and I am the owner and sole coordinator for ValentineTheKnot, based in Richmond, Virginia.

I was born and raised in VA and I’m the middle sister of 3 girls. I’m a James Madison University grad where I majored in Psychology and was a member of an all female a ca****la group. I am a newlywed myself and became Mrs. Valentine in March 2019 (best day ever!). I love all things coffee, wine & The Office!

I graduated college in 2016 and began a career in recruiting and onboarding. After 3 years in that industry, I began to search my heart to figure out what I wanted to do next (and hopefully forever). All signs pointed to wedding planning!

To state it simply, I LOVE planning. I love making people feel special, celebrated, and taken care of. Whether it’s a birthday party, a beach vacation, a bachelorette party, or a wedding, I want to be knee deep in all of the planning, logistics, and everything in between.
