The power of friendship

When I got a confirmation from the studio that I could rent the space for my first dance workshop since pandemic started I started to have an anxiety attack.

My first fear was :"it's too short notice. No one can make it."
My second thought was : "I'm not ready."
My third fear was : "what if nobody likes me and the way I teach nor my playlist?"

Then I immediately text my best friend . She talked to me and she took time to listen to me and my fears and she gave me so much comfort and compassion. She reminded me that I was more than ready, that I had friends who love me and support me in my adventures and that I should hold on to that and everything else would be fine with a tiny bit of work and time.

I told her that she should come and definitely bring Bene with her.
She was so happy that se could bring her baby because it's so hard and expensive to find a nany...
👑 Having her and her baby in my first dance workshop was everything. I couldn't ask for a better friendship.

This women have been through so much and I appreciate her kindness.

What's your favorite activity?

I am particularly interested in outdoor sports. From rollerblading to hulahoop, from hiking to paragliding, anything that makes me feel alive!

Going to the gym to lift weights is just one way of walking towards to an active and healthy lifestyle.

During the dance class I try to bring pieces of my outfit so my students can have a sense of how much it takes to be on stage and to perform.

I see all women as QUEENS.
We all have a crown above our heads, sometimes we show as a very sparkling thing and sometimes it can be invisible.

So keep your heads up queens because you are a badass queen and you deserve to take all the space you need to express yourself!

This year I decided to pursue a project that was in my mind since I launched .

When the pandemic hit the US I was just starting a huge business project and unfortunately I couldn't move forward with it.

I wanted to continue to spread my culture wherever I go and sharing what I know about my country and my culture.

So I decided to create a line of clothes for Brazilian Swag and import fitness apparel from Brazil.

Dance as a way to heal yourself.

When the quarantine started, one of my clients/friend gave me 3 hula hoops for me to try something new. These hoops were her first ones and I felt so honored to have them because they meant something bigger than just hoops.

I started my journey with them. However I decided to start different from the usual thing. I didn't take any classes for it just yet because I wanted to be able to explore with my own eyes.

I started to use the hoop as way to reconnect with myself and my body and to discover how can I get more intimate with something that I wasn't really so familiar with.

Now the hoops that she gave me are with other client /friend .bitch_angie who is also starting her hoop journey and she also passed one of the hoops to another friend. And now more friends are doing this thing call HULA HOOP DANCING 🎶
and it's doing wonders for those who are practicing.

I just wanted to say that DANCE can help you with on your healing journey.
Any kind of dance that touches your heart.
Hula hoop won a big space in my heart just like samba, Brazilian funk, pole dance, Zouk and I know that there is so much more to explore.
Not everything needs to be about business or how to make an income... Some things are there just to make you happy 😊 and to feel better about yourself.

You can say that she is the number 1 student kind of person.
She memorized all the dances and dance moves, even when I forgot, she KNEW EVERYTHING!

One of my proudest memories of her was when I caught her helping another student with some moves techniques and my jaw just dropped! I was like :" Dammmmmmm she knows exactly what to say and what to do!
She shows so much confidence!
She really inspired me to become a better teacher with her kindness.
