The UW Q Center's Marsha P. Johnson Memorial Library

The UW Q Center's Marsha P. Johnson Memorial Library Collection of great queer non-fiction, fiction, and digital media materials. Open to both UW and non-UW affiliated folks.

Our collection includes over 1,000 books that cover subjects such as queer theory, transgender studies, intersectionality, lesbian eroticism, black queer studies, southeast asian queer studies, queer men and women's fiction, and the list goes on and on. The Q Center is accessible by elevator and is located next to a gender neutral bathroom. Need help researching for a project or paper on the LGBTQ

? Jean is our resident librarian and available for drop-ins Mondays 3:30-5pm and Tuesdays 11am-3pm. Transportation:
The 25, 65, 67, 68, 75, 205, 277, 372, 373, and 540 all drop off about a block away from the HUB on NE Stevens Way. The 30, 43, 44, 45, 46, 48, 49, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 167, 197, 271, 373, 542, and 556 all drop off about seven blocks away on the University Way NE or 15th Ave NE.

Q Ink is tomorrow at 1:30 in room 305G in the HUB.

Q Ink is a creative writing group run by the Q Center library. We will help peer edit and give comments and critiques to your stories. It will be a free writing space where you can let your creativity flow onto a page or laptop. It will be a place where writers don’t have to feel awkward or afraid of sharing q***r oriented stories. Come on by and we will help one another learn, gain ideas, and most importantly WRITE!

"Sick, Disabled and Deaf Seattle folks, Writing Resistance is a new writing and art project starting up this winter. We will be having a bi-weekly writing circle, and will be putting together a submission based zine that will come out in the spring. This project is exclusively for sick, disabled and Deaf people, and those who are on the receiving end of ableism and/or audism. No allies. For more information go here."
