Wahines of the Waves

Wahines of the Waves Wahines Of the Waves (WOW) is an all girls surf, skate, skim and wakeboard club at the University of Florida.

We have members who specialize in each sport and serve as coaches and mentors for anyone who wants to get involved. Females of all athletic levels are welcome to come work on advancing their riding, whether their goal is just to stand up on a surfboard, or become the nation's next wakeboard champion.

One week away!! Join us for the 8th annual Barrel for B***s surf contest to support breast cancer research!🤙 Starts at 9am at St. Augustine Pier so get there early. we have 6 different divisions you can register for: men’s and women’s short and longboard, beginners longboard, and weirdest thing to surf! Surf a kayak! Surf a door! If it floats it surfs! We’ll have spike ball and volleyball going on between heats so be ready for a full day of fun! We have lots of raffles to give out and prizes for our top competitors🤑 a huge thanks to our sponsors for helping us put this on!
