At the 2026 Rammys, The Rammy Award for Team of the Year went to…

The Shepherd Rams Women’s Soccer team won BACK-TO-BACK PSAC Championships beating #15 ranked West Chester and #9 ranked Gannon in the conference tournament. They earned a playoff birth where they beat #9 ranked Gannon AGAIN less than two weeks later, 4-0. Finishing with an overall record of 12-2-6. Keep up with great work, Rams!

The Rammy Award for Male Athlete of the Year goes to Josh Petty of

Petty led the team in goals (12) for a team best 27 points. Petty also led the PSAC with 4 game-winning goals and was named 1st Team All-PSAC East and was awarded the PSAC East Athlete of the Year. Petty again added 1st team All-Region honors. Go Josh!

The Rammy Award for Female Athlete of the Year goes to Madelayne Ruffner!

The standout pitcher was named PSAC East Pitcher of the Year and set numerous school records for shutouts (9) single-game strikeouts (19) multiple no-hitters and led the nation in strikeouts (291), strikeouts per 7 innings (12.4) and WHIP (.71).

Ruffner also added 4 PSAC East Pitcher of the Week and 3 Wilson/NFCA D2 Pitcher of the Week honors.

Ruffner returns to the Rams as a Senior next year looking to add to her decorated career.

The 2026 Rammy Award for Coach of the Year goes to… Julie Kaufman, Head Women’s Basketball Coach!

Coach Kaufman led the Rams to a PSAC tournament birth while also winning the 25-26 PSAC East Coach of the Year Award. Kaufman also had 2 First team All-Conference performers in Kara Wehner and Lamaria Estridge and 3 Academic All-Conference players in Cassidy Rhodes, Lamaria Estridge and Jenna Liska.

Ram Nation! The PSAC Championship Tournament continues today.

Shepherd Baseball takes on West Chester at 4:30pm today with their big 3-0 shutout win over Slippery Rock yesterday.

Shepherd Softball is up against the winner of Cal PA - Seton Hill at 3pm today. Ruffner and the Rams beat Clarion 8-0 yesterday and dropped a close one to IUP 2-3 last night.
