Hello all!
We had an amazing rehearsal today with the one and only Kevin Day ()! We rehearsed movement four ("Soul") of his Concerto for Wind Band and recieved some amazing feedback from the composer!
We are so excited to share this piece (any many more) at our next concert!

Here’s a little bit from Eric Whitacre’s “Goodnight Moon”. In this rehearsal we had Chrystal Sircely sitting and doing some great vocal work until we can get our special guest singer to come in and rehearse with us!

The members of the wind ensemble are getting pretty amped about our upcoming concert on December 3rd. James isn’t lying either, those woodwind parts are tough! Come show some support for the ensemble, they’re all working very hard this concert cycle to make these songs happen!!!

Rehearsals throughout concert cycle two are going great so far! We’ve gotten comments from tons of students about our music filling the halls and we’re glad you’re all loving it! Don’t miss the concert on December 3rd!

“Music Major For a Day” here at slippery rock university was a success! It’s always so humbling to have the opportunity to inspire students to pursue music education, music therapy, or music performance! We hope today gave all of these highschool students a bit more insight into what goes on in a day as a music major here!!!
