Snohomish County Human Services invites the community to attend the 2026 Resilience Conference on October 26 at the Angel of the Winds Conference Center.

The event focuses on building resilience and equipping community members and professionals with tools to support community behavioral health and promote recovery.

The theme of this year’s conference is Power in Partnership, and three tracks will be offered to attendees: ACEs & PACEs, Su***de Prevention and Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery.

No matter if you have a tiny apartment deck, small garden space, or plenty of acreage, you can grow fresh, healthy food in a healthier, more environmentally friendly way!
All classes take place on Zoom, Tuesday evenings, 6:30 – 8:30pm.
Nov 10 – Starting a Vegetable Garden
Nov 17 – Growing on a Small Scale and container gardening
Dec 1 – Healthy Soil, Healthy Plants
Dec 8 – Seed Starting and Growing Transplants

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adolescents ages 12-18. You'll build skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to young people who are struggling. You'll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support.

AFTER THE COURSE, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO:
Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD).

Recognize common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.

Understand how to interact with a young person in crisis.

Know how to connect a young person with help.

Better understand trauma, substance use, self-care and the impact of social media and bullying.
