Due to the ongoing concerns surrounding Covid-19, we have regretfully made the decision to cancel both June dressage shows scheduled at the Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center. This includes the USDF/USEF rated show on June 24 & 25 and the WDAA show on June 27 & 28. We are considering our options to postpone one or both of these shows to early August. In an effort to satisfy the needs of our clients, please take our brief survey:

NEDA

Due to ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, we have reached the difficult decision to postpone the NEDA Symposium with Carl Hester to 2021. This decision was made after lengthy conversations between our hosts at Mount Holyoke College, Carl, and the NEDA Board of Directors.

There are currently many unknowns and variables surrounding the ability to hold a large-scale event this fall. Because of these uncertainties, we felt that the most prudent course of action was to confirm a place in Carl’s schedule for 2021.

So many of you were looking forward to this fall’s Symposium, and we share your disappointment. But moving the event to next year is the best way to ensure we can all enjoy a safe, fantastic weekend of learning. We anticipate that the 2021 Symposium will be scheduled in October, and we will let you know as soon as we finalize a date with Carl and the Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center.

Thank you for understanding. This period is requiring a lot of patience and strength from every one of us, and we appreciate your continued support of NEDA. We are eager to see you at a NEDA event when it’s safe, and we look forward to welcoming Carl Hester in 2021.

This is an exciting time of year for us as we welcome Dorothee Schneider and the NEDA Symposium to the MHC Equestrian Center. Another moment in time as we continue to celebrate 100 years of riding at Mount Holyoke College.

Please click on the posting below to read more about access to the Equestrian Center and the best place to park.
We can't wait to see everyone this weekend!

~NEDA Symposium Update~
We can’t wait to welcome Dorothee Schneider to New England!

The NEDA Symposium is sold out for this weekend, and unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate walk-in auditors.

PARKING: Like last year, the main parking lot for auditors will be a short walk away at the Ham and McGregor Hall lots at 47 Park Street. There will be no shuttle buses this year as we won’t be using the outer satellite parking areas. Please carpool with your friends and barnmates so we can be certain to accommodate everyone in the Ham and McGregor Hall lots. If you need onsite handicap parking and did not request a parking pass to be mailed to you, please drive to the main entrance of the Equestrian Center (56 Park Street) and we can help you.

While the weather forecast doesn’t look as cold as last year, remember that the Mt Holyoke Equestrian Center arena is not heated, so bring layers and a blanket!

My name is Lexi Lobdell and I’m a rising senior at Mount Holyoke College. I started riding when I was six but did not compete in pure Dressage until joint the IDA as a first year. I love the challenge and versatility that the IDA gives you as a rider. My favorite part about riding in the IDA is how it turns riding from a individual sport to a team sport. It gives riders the opportunity to be apart of something bigger than yourself and creates life long friendships!⁣
