This customer had an existing rubber coating that was failing, so our crew removed the old surface and installed our high-performance Polyaspartic coating system in Creekbed flake.

Forge Flooring & Epoxy recently completed this retired church building for The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s newest Thrift Store in West Mifflin, and the results speak for themselves.

Lone Pine Volunteer Fire Department has been serving their community since 1966. When they called us to redo their fire hall floor as part of their ongoing renovations, we were honored.

We used our High-wear urethane system in Tile Red and thanks to we’re able to put their badge, permanently locked into the floor where every firefighter walks every time they enter the station.

That logo isn’t just decoration. It’s a reminder of what this building stands for.

Story time.

Last winter we quoted this job. Full flake system, done the Forge way.

Customer found a guy who said he’d do it for $1,500.

She chose the cheaper route.

These photos she sent us are the result.

No topcoat.
Edges completely skipped.
Contaminated material mixed in like literal driveway gravel.
Peeling, puddling, soft spots.
And our personal favorite, they used the homeowner’s broom as a stir stick and left it glued to the brick wall.

She reached out asking if we could fix it.

Unfortunately this isn’t a “fix.”
It’s a complete tear-out and redo, which now puts the project around $2000+ more than her initial quote due to the extra removal and remediation work we have to do.

We don’t blame the homeowner — she trusted someone who sold her a dream and delivered a nightmare.

But this is the reality of the “cheap guy” in our industry.
