It’s time to celebrate! Our brother, Charles Williams, has been nominated for Teacher of the Year at his school, and we stand with him. We stand with any(every) brother who is doing great things and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

To be nominated by your peers is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the respect you’ve earned through your dedication and service. We congratulate Brother Charles on this well-deserved recognition and wish him success as he advances through the next stages of the process.

Brother William’s was selected as Teacher of the Year for his school and just recently completed the district interview. The next steps are the district and county levels. Regardless of the outcome, he knows it is truly an honor to be chosen by your peers. Someone in the community took the time to nominate him and he grateful for that acknowledgment.

Congratulations to all educators who continue to inspire, lead, and make a difference every day. Your work matters, and these recognitions are well deserved. Truly brothers we must see that our cause speeds on it way. Even more so when we move in humility.

On Armed Forces Day, we honored those who serve by rallying behind them with compassion and unity. Through the Remote Care Package Project, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and Veterans of Foreign Wars are sending fifty care packages packed with comfort and care to troops globally, accompanied by personal letters from Sigma Betas that remind them of home and community.

Tuesday, May 5th the brothers of Alpha Alpha Gamma Sigma proudly partnered with the Fayetteville Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated to host a meaningful community discussion on Mental Health Awareness, with a special focus on preventing mental health challenges and PTSD, and most importantly — how to seek and find support.

In the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area, we know our veterans, active duty service members, families, and everyday citizens carry heavy loads. This event created a safe space for honest conversation, education, and real solutions.
We were blessed with powerful presentations from:

* Our very own brothers JerMaine Kearney & Jerry Creekmore

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared, listened, and poured into this important work. Real change starts when we stop suffering in silence and start supporting one another.

To our communities: Your mental health is not a weakness — it’s a priority. Whether you’re a soldier, student, parent, or professional, it’s okay to not be okay… and it’s brave to ask for help.
