After over 20 years in small tech, ad tech, and big tech, Christy Vincent ‘05 (Christy Ogonis) was just tapped by NBCUniversal’s advertising and partnerships team as their Senior Director of the Ad Sales Center of Excellence. In her new role out of NYC, she will lead the activation of a suite of capability building initiatives meant to transform NBCUniversal’s Sales organization into a digital advertising powerhouse. She joins hundreds of other Newhouse alumni who call NBCU home and looks forward to being part of the “Syracuse Mafia” at 30 Rock🍊

Sharon "BB Good" Michaels '93, Howard Deneroff '89, Ben Green '08, and Stephen 'Tex' Kurtz '05 officially entered the Hall of Fame, Women's Conference brought together the Women of WJPZ, students learned at Friday Conference all about the walls beyond Watson Hall... and of course the GOAT of all GOAT's Rick Wright captivated the crowd in Drumlins!

Broadcasters: You can have an early role in something really cool.

Hall of Famer Matt Delsignore and soon-to-be Hall of Famer Tex Kurtz have created a free streaming service honoring Z's history by playing the music the station helped popularize from the '80s through 2010s interspersed with classic imaging.

They're looking for alumni to record short pieces that can run on the channel.

Throwback Z89 will launch prior to The Banquet next weekend. - to honor the spirit of innovation, creativity, and excellence that made WJPZ-FM the "Greatest Media Classroom."

Don’t forget - we’re getting a head start on welcoming a new class of WJPZ legends, and YOU have the opportunity to play a part in who we enshrine next in the WJPZ Alumni Hall of Fame!

At the link belo, you submit a name for consideration by our Nomination Committee later this spring. Eligible candidates must be former members of WJPZ while on campus and must have graduated no later than Spring of 2021. Please provide as much information as you can to help our Committee select the group of nominees.
