ππ¦ MEET THE FOUNDERS OF KAPPA IOTA NU π¦π
The Three Pillars | Established 2026
Over the past several days, we have introduced you to the women of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, and Omega Chapters.
You have met the women who said YES.
Yes to building something new.
Yes to serving their communities.
Yes to creating genuine Sisterhood.
Yes to becoming part of the history of Kappa Iota Nu Sorority, Incorporated.
But before there were Chapters...
Before there was a Founding Line...
Before there were traditions, committees, programs, line names, meetings, or even a roster of NU Women...
There were three women with a vision.
Today, as we close our introduction series, we proudly introduce the women affectionately known within Kappa Iota Nu as:
π THE THREE PILLARS π
Three women. Three distinct personalities. Three different strengths.
One shared belief that women deserved a Sisterhood built on authenticity, service, leadership, empathy, grace, respect, joy, and the freedom to show up exactly as they are.
And apparently just enough audacity to say:
βWhy don't we build it ourselves?β π
And they did.
π ShaShauna Staton
Founder | National Basileus
Alpha Chapter β Colorado
FiNull WarNing (Final Warning) π
A visionary, builder, creative, and unapologetic believer in what could be, ShaShauna helped turn an idea into an organization.
Her leadership philosophy is rooted in authenticity. She believes women should never have to shrink themselves, change who they are, or become someone else simply to belong.
As National Basileus, she leads KIN's organizational vision while remaining focused on something even greater: building an institution strong enough to eventually thrive beyond its Founders.
Because true legacy isn't creating something that cannot function without you.
It's building something that will continue long after you.
π Latecie Gilghrest
Founder | National Anti-Basileus
Beta Chapter β Florida
GraΞ£e UNder PHIre (Grace Under Fire) π
Strength and grace are not opposites, and Latecie embodies both.
Steady when things get complicated and willing to do the work necessary to move a vision forward, she brings leadership, perspective, accountability, and balance to the foundation of KIN.
As National Anti-Basileus and a Founder connected to Beta Chapter, she helps ensure that the vision doesn't simply sound good on paper.
It becomes something we can actually build.
And when you're creating an organization from absolutely NOTHING, you need somebody who can remain graceful while everything around her is occasionally on fire. π
π Phadonya Horne
Founder | National Anti-Basileus
Gamma Chapter β North Carolina
KINtrld KHa0s (Controlled Chaos) π
There is chaos...
And then there is CONTROLLED CHAOS. π
Phadonya brings energy, heart, perspective, leadership, and an ability to navigate the moving pieces that come with building something from the ground up.
As National Anti-Basileus and a Founder connected to Gamma Chapter, she brings another essential voice to KIN's leadership and helps keep our decisions grounded in what this organization was created to accomplish.
Because sometimes building something extraordinary requires knowing how to take all the moving pieces...
and somehow make them move in the same direction.
πππ THREE WOMEN BECAME THREE PILLARS.
They didn't create Kappa Iota Nu because the world needed another organization with Greek letters.
They created it because they believed there was room for something different.
A professional service Sisterhood for women 21 and older.
A place where women from different professions, backgrounds, locations, lifestyles, beliefs, personalities, and experiences could come together without surrendering their individuality.
A Sisterhood where authenticity is expected, service has purpose, leadership is developed, mental wellness matters, and women genuinely show up for one another.
And then something incredible happened.
Women believed them.
Women from across the country saw the vision and said:
βI want to help build that.β
And suddenly an idea shared among three women became six Chapters and a national Sisterhood of NU Women.
That is what makes this moment so special.
Our Founders may have planted the seed...
but every NU Woman who said yes is helping it grow. π±π¦
There will come a day when women join Kappa Iota Nu who weren't here for these first meetings.
They won't remember the late-night conversations.
They won't know how many times something changed at the last minute. π
They won't know about the spreadsheets, emails, policies, logos, meetings, planning, laughing, problem-solving, starting over, and figuring things out as we went.
They will simply inherit the Sisterhood that all of these women were brave enough to build.
And that is LEGACY.
So today, we celebrate the women who took the first step:
π ShaShauna Staton β FiNull WarNing

π Latecie Gilghrest β GraΞ£e UNder PHIre

π Phadonya Horne β KINtrld KHa0s

THE THREE PILLARS OF KAPPA IOTA NU SORORITY, INCORPORATED.
They had the vision.
Our Sorors believed in it.
Now, together, we build the legacy. ππ¦πππ
Through Sisterhood, We Rise.
