HVLS fans in winter? It might feel counter-intuitive, but end of summer is the perfect time to think about having an HVLS fan installed. HVLS fans earn their keep in winter, not just in July and August! Heat rises, so in a building with tall ceilings, your furnace spends the season warming air that sits fifteen feet above everyone's heads while the floor stays cold. Running an HVLS fan slowly in reverse pulls that trapped warm air back down and mixes the whole column until the floor and the ceiling read close to the same temperature. The resulting savings could be as high as 30%! If your thermostat is cranked and your crew is still cold, you're just paying to heat the ceiling, and you should think about having an HVLS fan installed.

Get your facility ready before the cold temps hit!

Direct-drive HVLS fans skip the gearbox, which would be just one more thing to maintain and one more thing that can leak. The Hunter Industrial ECO is one of the lightest and most economical HVLS fans on the market. Airfoils are structural-grade aluminum, the plugs arrive pre-wired so installation takes about half the time, and it ships with an industry-leading warranty. Fewer moving parts means fewer service calls and less time on a lift (which is especially great when the fan is thirty feet over a production line!) If maintenance concerns are what's been holding you up on a fan project, start here.

Tell us what's moving through your system, and we'll design around it!

Corrosion-resistant fans exist because things like salt air, chlorine, acid v***r, and wastewater off-gas will eat away at standard equipment. Resistance comes down to two things: material of construction and coating selection. We will help you make sure it's right for your needs, and then build project-specific corrosion-resistant exhaust, supply, and process fans. The powder coat process lays down a finish that's both thorough and looks great!

We offer industrial fan services across the Upstate and throughout the southeast. We're based in Taylors, SC, and our field crew works Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Columbia, Rock Hill, and up into Charlotte on a regular basis. That proximity matters more than it sounds like it does, because a good portion of what determines the right fan is only visible standing in the space: ceiling height, dock door placement, where the heat is actually coming from, what's already hanging in the way. We ship product across the Southeast and beyond, but field service and evaluations are hands-on and local. Tell us where you're located and we'll tell you what we can get to.

We love leaving a facility after an install knowing that the people who work in that space will be a bit more comfortable as we close out the end of summer. Our area of the country experiences warm temps well into autumn and our clients can be assured that we’ve done all we can to alleviate some of that.

We can find out your fan performance by taking field measurements of airflow and pressure. We do this before recommending anything. If your fan is rated for 12,000 CFM but you're measuring closer to 8,000, the rating may not be wrong. Fan performance curves come out of lab testing under clean, controlled inlet and outlet conditions, and your facility isn't the same as the lab. We can check for restricted inlets, elbows sitting too close to the housing, loaded filters, a belt slipping a few percent, or a system carrying more resistance than anyone calculated... all of which will shift your real operating point off the published curve. Call us today, and we can come help you find the best solution for your air movement needs!

Client Industrial fan Install
We are so happy to have been able to help this 100,000 square foot facility in Greer, SC. Thank you for the five stars!

"Keenan was informative from the consulting process all the way to installation. He really understands how air movement works, and clearly communicated it to us for our large warehouse needs. His expertise is unmatched, and he was able to quickly deliver the fans in only a few weeks! He even went out of his way to personally be onsite for installation with his crew to make sure the job was done right! Would definitely recommend!"

"I need more air" is the call we get most often, and the fan is usually not the problem.
It's the duct... Too many elbows, wrong diameter, a transition dropped right at the fan inlet, a run that's been added onto three times in fifteen years... Every one of those costs you static pressure, and static pressure is airflow you already paid for and never received. We design and install duct with the whole system in mind, because selling you a bigger fan to overcome a bad layout helps no one.

Vibration analysis can tell you what a fan is doing before you even realize there's a problem. Measured while the machine runs under normal operating conditions, the vibration signature separates a bearing going bad from a wheel out of balance from a motor that was never aligned right in the first place. We handle vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and optical/laser alignment in the field, on your equipment, on your schedule. Contact us today for more on how we can keep your facility running smoothly!
