Thank you to all who came out last night to receive valuable information about voting in this upcoming election. We ignited current voters, registered new voters and inspired future voters. Congressman Figures discussed the impact of the over 619,000 registered Black voters in the State of Alabama who did not vote in 2024. From rural health care to higher education, it all makes a difference.

Let's make a change. Register to vote by October 19th and cast your vote on November 3rd!

Today, we recognize World Mental Health Day 💚. Awareness, education, and removing the social stigma helps us discover better ways to navigate our lived experiences.

Delta Sigma Theta is committed to working within our communties to mitigate mental health crises and provide the tools and resources neccessary for the unique support that many are in need of. We thank our National Physical and Mental Health Subcommittee for leading the charge toward a world that prioritizes the mental well-being of all people.

50 Days Until Election Day - We Register! 🗳

Getting out the vote starts with those closest to us - within our circles and throughout our communities.

We’re calling on every member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, to encourage family, friends, colleagues and neighbors to register to vote, verify their registration status or update their information. Consider hosting or promoting a voter registration drive to help ensure your community is ready for Election Day.

Every conversation and every registration can help build a more informed, prepared and engaged electorate.

We have extended the application deadline for the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy to September 12, 2026. If you know of a young lady in grades 6-8 attending school in Pike, Bullock, Barbour or Crenshaw counties, please have them to apply using the link. https://forms.gle/mG6YayYKGzSv6yso9

A mandatory parent meeting will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 2 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church for both Delta Academy and Delta G.E.M.S. applicants.

If you would like to learn more about our programs, please come to our Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 2 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Troy, Alabama.
