was chartered on April 22, 2004. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University, the Sorority is currently a sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educ

ated women. This includes over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization's Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Physical and Mental Health, Educational Development, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness and Involvement. We look forward to seeing everyone at our ice cream informational tomorrow at 2 pm at First Missionary Baptist Church in Troy. Even if you are already familiar with our youth initiatives, we still would like for you to join us for fellowship and a sweet treat. 🍧🍨

Applications are now open for our youth initiatives Delta Academy and Delta G.E.M.S. If you would like to learn more about our programs, please come to our Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 2 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Troy, Alabama. Attendance at the social is not mandatory but a mandatory parent meeting will be held on September 13th for all of those who do apply.
