Design for America - Rensselaer Students using design to create local and social impact at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. DFA is a student network - and so much more!

Our tools model and coaching instill community encourage creativity and build student capacity to take on any challenge. DFA shapes the next generation of social innovators. Founded at Northwestern university, Design for America is a national network of campus studios using design innovation for good. DFA student teams work on 2-3 self-selected design projects throughout the academic year applying

the skills and expertise gained through their for-credit academic courses. They look to their local community to assess pressing challenges and work in teams with organizational partners to understand user’s needs, ideate, prototype and test potential solutions.
