NSCS Association of Students at the University of Arizona Join us for a neuroblast, we've Got Action Potential!

The Neuroscience & Cognitive Science Association of Students (NSCSAS) is a club that is focused on spreading awareness and love of neuroscience to the UA community as well as to the greater Tucson community. We conduct several outreach volunteer events with schools and partner continuously with the department of Neuroscience at the University of Arizona to provide the public with knowledge of neuroscience.

This is a reminder that if you are interested in running in our re-election, you must fill out the intent form by tomorrow at 5pm. Our goal is to have as few positions run unopposed as possible, so if you think you would make a good board member we strongly encourage you to run. Plus the ballot is online only so no public speaking required! You can find the form here:

Happy Winter, everyone! It's such a crazy and stressful time of the year full of last minute tests, papers, and preparing for finals, so we wanted to give you a little bit of time to relax this week. On Monday, we will be hosting our LAST general meeting in BSW 208 where we will have Mindful Ambassadors present a workshop to help you learn great skills for relaxation 🙌🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

Just a reminder that the 4th annual Symbiosis: An Exhibit of Biological Art is coming up this week! It will be held on Wednesday, November 7, from 5-7 pm in ENR2. I encourage all of you to go, as it is such a cool and beautiful event showing just how compatible art and science are! Happy Sunday, everybody! The end of the semester is coming so fast! Our next general meeting is tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 6, and this one is going to be one for the books! We are having our own personal mini Society for Neuroscience presentations. Several students who are presenting at SfN this year will be there with their posters ready to blow your mind 🙌🧠 Hope to see you there!

Hey guys, I hope midterm week is treating you well! This Monday come unwind at our NSCSAS meeting in Biosciences West 208. We are hosting a graduate student panel where grad students from various departments at the UofA, including Neuroscience, Psychology, and Immunobiology, are coming to speak to us about their journey to grad school and answer any possible questions you could have! Happy Sunday, everyone! Join us tomorrow at 6 pm for our next general meeting where we will be doing lab tours in Gould-Simpson at 6 pm. You'll have the opportunity to see some amazing neuroscience labs in the building and learn how to do the cool brain demos for outreach events! Afterwards, the board will be heading to Pei Wei for our percentage night! Feel free to join us for a social point, or go to Pei Wei on your own from 4-9 pm, show them the flyer below, and send us a picture of your receipt to get the point. Hope to see you there 😁 🧠
