Rising Phoenix - Tyler Enactus

Rising Phoenix - Tyler Enactus "From the ashes of adversity is born a new life." Rising Phoenix is a project founded by a UT Tyler SIFE member in 2009.

Originally, SIFE teamed up with the East Texas Crisis Center in Tyler, Texas to teach women who have been the victim of domestic abuse the importance of a professional brand. We are interested in helping these women regain the confidence they need to start their desired career and end the cycle of domestic violence. Currently, we partner with Gail Johnson, co-author of A New Brand You and adjunct

professor at the University of Texas at Tyler, and the East Texas Crisis Center to bring a 4 week workshop to women at the Crisis Center to teach them professional branding, resume and cover-letter writing, and how to dress for success. We are also building a website that allows women from all over the country participate in our program through their local area Crisis Center via the internet.
