🎓 Where Are They Now Wednesday 🎓

Meet Michael H. Yim, proud Marymount grad 💙 and recently retired U.S. Air Force nurse after 24 years of service! ✈️🩺

After earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MU, Michael rejoined the Air Force as a commissioned officer and went on to serve around the world in roles like Flight Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, and International Health Specialist.
One major career highlight? Coordinating the first-ever nonstop medical evacuation of a critically wounded soldier from Afghanistan to Texas — an 8,000-mile mission that made history. 🌍🚨

Today, he’s back in Virginia, teaching future nurses and working toward his Doctor of Nursing Practice at UPenn, focused on improving care in senior living communities.

“Serve with purpose, lead with heart, and continue growing as both clinicians and people.”

Meet Andy Vikayanon, a proud 2018 Marymount graduate who majored in Cybersecurity!
💼 Current Role: Cloud Security Engineer
🏢 Company: Navy Federal Credit Union
📍 Location: Fairfax, VA
🔐 In his role, Andy secures cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP by designing secure architectures, managing access controls, implementing tools like CSPM and SIEM, and ensuring compliance. His focus? Preventing misconfigurations, data breaches, and unauthorized access.
