Yesterday HutchCC Fire Science hosted the annual High School Burn Day. Students from Wichita South High School and Lyons High School participated. This is one of the requirements needed to certify as a Firefighter 1.

On March 20, 2025, the National Guard presented Fire Science Program Coordinator- Mike McCandless, and HutchCC's Fire Science program with the Seven Seals Award.
