Our Empowering Our Families Committee proudly wrapped up our Youth Leadership Institute season with a meaningful community service initiative. Our youth leaders joined together to help bag 3,000 lbs of potatoes for the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

Investing in our youth is investing in the future of our communities. Through leadership, service, and hands on experiences, we are empowering the next generation to lead with compassion, purpose, and impact. This month, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Alpha Chi Omega Chapter remained committed to advocacy, education, and community impact through the work of our Advocate for Social Justice Committee. 💗💚
We proudly hosted a voter registration drive focused on voter mobilization and voter education, while also creating opportunities for mentors and mentees to serve side by side in the community.

A special thank you to Oasis Fresh Food Market for graciously allowing us to provide this meaningful service opportunity. Your community support helped make this work possible.

This month, we also participated in AKA Day at the Capitol, where members had the opportunity to learn about key legislative issues directly from lawmakers and receive a behind-the-scenes tour from Senator Regina Goodwin. The experience reinforced the importance of civic engagement and the power of using our voices at the polls.

From community service to legislative advocacy, we remain committed to informed action, engaged leadership, and empowering our communities through service and education.

Mental health impacts everyone, and access to information, support, and safe spaces can make a real difference. Sometimes awareness starts with something as simple as a conversation, a resource, or reminding someone they are not alone.
