Congratulations to NIC President & CEO Jud Horras on being named the 2026 Jack L. Anson Award honoree!

The Jack L. Anson Award is presented by the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors to an individual not employed at an institution of higher education who has demonstrated a continued commitment to the fraternity/sorority community beyond the individual’s organization.

Jud has pushed the fraternity movement forward during his time at the NIC. Under his leadership, the Conference brought greater clarity to the impact of fraternity membership through impactful research, advocated fiercely for the Stop Campus Hazing Act, which was signed into law in 2024, and much more.

She watched him grow into a more confident, well-rounded young man with a lifelong network of friendships and support.

Read her story and why she is advocating for the fraternity experience:

In a World-Herald op-ed, Erica Venancio writes about her son's experience at a UNL fraternity.
