At The College School at the University of Delaware, students are diving into STEM with an exciting new challenge: build a swimming robot that mimics real aquatic animals. Thanks to the SHARK curriculum, developed by faculty from University of Delaware College of Education & Human Development and College of Engineering, students are learning biomimicry, engineering and creative problem-solving through hands-on robotics. The program is also in action at Early Learning Center, where summer campers design and test their own robotic swimmers. For students with learning differences, SHARK provides a fun and supportive way to build confidence and communication skills.
