Our Story

This is the Facebook home of the Wisconsin Alumni Association’s Los Angeles Chapter, aka The LA Badgers. The chapter hosts a variety of activities for the 5900 UW-Madison alumni in the Los Angeles area. The breadth of activities gives our alumni the opportunity to stay connected to each other and our great university. The LA Badgers are welcoming and inclusive. Everyone is welcome at our events. You can be a graduate, a student, a family member of a student or graduate, or someone who just loves and appreciates the University of Wisconsin. All are welcome.

Cheer on the Badgers at our Game Watch events held in our two official local game watch locations, The Underground Pub & Grill in Hermosa Beach and the BRUHAUS in Brentwood.

The chapter holds a big event in the Fall. It is called “Madison in ...” It is a fun and engaging cocktail event that highlights local alumni excellence and achievement. (i.e. Madison in the Movies, Madison in Medicine, Madison in Food, Drink & Music).

The LA Badger Women gather quarterly for a luncheon. They meet in different parts of town at a favorite restaurant or the home of an alumna. The group has had an enthusiastic and growing group of regular participants since its introduction in 2017.
