The sportswriters of America have proclaimed “Bull Riding” as the most dangerous sporting event in the world but it is also rodeo’s “most popular event”. 8 seconds seems like an eternity when you have to endure the kicking, spinning, and twisting action of a bull with cat-like reflexes that can easily weigh up to 2,000 pounds
especially when bull riders average about 150 pounds. Rules are simple. Stay on the bull for a full 8 seconds without touching the animal or yourself. When you watch Bull Riding, you will quickly understand why those 8 seconds can be seen as a lifetime. While the bulls are tough, the courageous riders that take them on are prepared and practiced to give it their all.

Presented by Tatman’s Towing, Bull Riding is just one of seven events that will be on the program during the “Orange & Blue Rodeo Roundup” on Saturday, May 2nd at the Champaign County fairgrounds in Urbana, IL. The performance will start at 7PM and features the spectacular bucking stock of the Big Hat Rodeo Company. The rodeo is being hosted by the Rodeo Club at the University of Illinois and proceeds will assist the Wounded Warrior Project.
