What a beautiful day it was, making medicines, sharing stories, and learning from each other, our elders, and Linda, Luke, and Dakota!

Don’t worry, if you missed this one, we are working hard to host another event in the future.

Wopida Tanka to everyone who came today, especially our guest relatives for traveling to our homelands to share space with us.

This is what community and wellness can look like for our Oceti Sakowin and we are very thankful. 🥲

We had such a great time visiting the Marty Boys & Girls Club and getting creative with the younger students! ✨

The students designed and poured their own resin creations, and we were so impressed by their creativity and imagination. It was amazing to see each student come up with their own unique design while having so much fun throughout the activity. Now comes the hard part, waiting! Their resin projects need 24 hours to fully cure before we can reveal the finished masterpieces.

Stay tuned for the final results... we can't wait to see how everyone's resin will turns out!

Thank you Jodi for having us!

A huge thank you to all of the students for being so engaged and making it such a fun and couple weeks, we can't wait to come back! 💙💙💙

Dakota Word of the Week: Makawamduŝkadaŋ (Earthworm) 🪱

💚 MH reminder!
Just like the Makawamduŝkadaŋ quietly helps the earth grow and stay healthy, the small things you do to care for your mental health matter too. Taking a walk, talking with someone you trust, spending time with family, getting enough rest, or showing kindness to yourself and others may seem like small actions, but they help build strength, resilience, and well-being over time. Growth doesn't always happen where everyone can see it. Every small step forward is still progress!
