tive Vice President – Alyssa Ferlin
My name is Alyssa Ferlin and I am the Executive Vice President of NSCS at Florida State University for the 2017-2018 school year. I am currently a senior studying Exercise Physiology with minors in Chemistry, Biology, and Child Development. I joined NSCS three years ago and last year I held the position of Vice President of Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence (2016-2017). In my free time I love to hang out with my friends and family, cheer on my Jacksonville Jaguars, and, of course, enjoy a good ‘Nole game day! I am currently applying to medical school. After graduation I hope enter medical school and be on the path to pursuing my dream career as a physician! Vice President of Community Service – Cornelia Wielgus
Hi! My name is Cornelia Wielgus and I am the Vice President of Community Service of NSCS at Florida State University for the 2017-2018 school year. I am currently a Junior Studying International Affairs and Russian. Over the past year, I have had the privileged of being a Relay for Life Chair (2016-2017). I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as meeting new individuals with unique backgrounds. After graduation, I plan on pursuing a career in the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Service Diplomat and working towards receiving a Master’s degree in Slavic and East European Studies. Vice President of PACE – Rachel Peterson
Hi! My name is Rachel Liz Petersen and I am VP of PACE at Florida State for the 2017-2018 school year. I am currently a Senior studying Marketing and am graduating a year early. I like NSCS because I believe that it is important to surround yourself with likeminded, driven individuals who are striving for greatness. The CEO of the military training & simulation company that I interned at this past summer told me that "if you surround yourself with successful people, you, too, will be successful." After graduation, I hope to continue my career in the Department of Defense industry. Outside of school and work, my passion is for fitness. I can almost always be found at the gym lifting heavy or doing some sort of outdoorsy activity. I am very excited about this school year and am honored to serve as the VP of PACE, and am excited to help make a difference in your lives and the lives of high school students in the Tallahassee area. STAR Status Coordinator – Kristina Hopf
Hey everyone! I'm Kristina Hopf, this year's STAR Status Coordinator. I'm a senior here at Florida State, with a double major in International Affairs and History and a minor in Psychology. I joined NSCS in Fall 2016 and loved getting to meet all the members, and loved being a part of this organization! This year, I look forward to the chance to represent NSCS through my position. You can usually find me hanging out with friends or holed up in Strozier. Next year, I will be attending law school, and from there I hope to pursue a career in international law! Secretary – Maddie Shaff
Hi, my name is Maddie Shaff and i am the secretary for the 2017-2018 school year. I am a third year Environmental Science major here at Florida State. In my free time I love to spend my time hiking around Tallahassee and going to the beach when I'm home in south Florida. Treasurer – Lauren Lamperski
Hi, my name is Lauren Lamperski and I am the treasurer of NSCS at Florida State University for the 2017-18 school year. I am double majoring in business and English and am currently in my third year here. This is my first year as an officer and I am so excited to help make our organization even better than last year! I was first drawn to NSCS because of its prestige but what kept me coming back was the worthwhile connections I made and the valuable information NSCS provided. Some of my favorite things to do are read, do yoga, and hang out with my friends and family. After college graduation, I hope to move on to law school and eventually practice law.
