Another study has popped up for those that are interested. Below are the details:

Lindsay Buckner, M.A., is a Doctoral Candidate and Military Spouse attending college at the University of Albany, State University of New York (SUNY) and is working on her dissertation. She is examining the adjustment and alcohol use of student veterans. She is would like the participation of those who are interested and meet the following eligibility requirements:

✅at least 18 years old
✅are a veteran of the U.S. Military (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard), and
✅are currently enrolled full or part time as an undergraduate at a college or university.

The responses to her survey are anonymous and should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. If you decide to participate, you will be entered into a random drawing for one of ten $25 Amazon gift cards. Additionally, $1 will be donated to the Warrior Scholar Project for every person that fully completes the study.

Attention Moscow Student Veterans: Housing and Residence Life is currently recruiting for our Resident Assistant and Academic Peer Mentor positions for the 2020-2021 academic year. They are looking for strong, driven student leaders and will provide a room and meal plan for those hired!

There are many benefits that students will earn as a student staff member. Some of these include increased communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, increased time management and of course, building strong relationships with other students. Aside from strong leadership skills, the Resident Assistant and Academic Peer Mentor positions provide students with a single residence hall room and a meal plan for their compensation.

How to Apply: Applications will open on Monday, November 25th and can be found at: https://www.uidaho.edu/student-life/housing/employment.

The deadline for applications is Monday, December 16th at midnight.

Information Session: Information sessions are the first step in the application process, and provide more information about the individual positions. When students attend an information session, they will learn additional information about the expectations and job responsibilities.

Information Sessions will be held:

✅Nov 13th in C26 of the Wallace Basement at 8:00 pm
✅Nov 19th in C26 of the Wallace Basement at 7:00 pm
✅Dec 2nd in the LLC Trout Room at 7:00 pm
✅Dec 5th in the Tower 1st floor lounge at 8:30 pm

There is an unclaimed veteran, Margaret A. McCann, that recently passed away. She served in the Air Force during the Korean war. Unfortunately, no friends or family could be located to attend her funeral service in Philadelphia, PA.

Viewing, and mass will be held:
At 9:00 am on Monday, November 18th, 2019 at St. Timothy RC Church, 3001 Levick Street, Philadelphia, PA 19149

Burial will be after mass:
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave Philadelphia, PA 19150

If you have the opportunity, please come out and attend. So our sister does not go alone.

Less than 0.5% of the US population has volunteered for military service. Today is the day that we remember all our veterans and the scarifies they have made in service to our country.
