Imarah Temple No. 286, Oasis of Washington, Desert of District of Columbia, exemplifies a steadfast commitment to charity and community upliftment through its dedicated donations to the Salvation Army. Gathering on Saturday morning, members come together to drop off items donated by the Nobles of the Temple. They supply critical aid and warmth to families in need across the Washington, DC area. Through generous donations of quality clothing, footwear, and essential household goods, the Temple ensures that vulnerable neighbors receive dignifying resources to navigate difficult times. The Temple continues to strengthen and support local neighborhoods through these regular giving efforts, an ongoing tradition of monthly Saturday community service, underscores Imarah Temple's core mission of fraternal charity, fellowship, and active civic responsibility, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Imarah Temple No. 286's participation in the 176th Annual Prince Hall Americanism Day Celebration, alongside the MWPHGLDC and the Desert of the District of Columbia was an extraordinary and deeply meaningful experience for its Nobles. As our Nobles proudly marched through the streets of SE Washington, D.C., the atmosphere was electric with solidarity, pride, and mutual respect. The response from the local community was nothing short of magnificent; residents were out on the parade route, cheering, waving, and showing overwhelming love for the entire Desert of D.C. This powerful display of community reception highlighted the enduring strength of our brotherhood and reinforced the vital bond we share with the neighborhood we serve. Stepping in unity, sharing our rich heritage, and feeling the genuine warmth of the crowd reminded every Noble present of the true spirit of Prince Hall Freemasonry and Shrinedom. Several Nobles of Imarah Temple also serve on the MWPHGLDC administration. Imarah Temple No. 286 stands incredibly grateful for the camaraderie, the outstanding turnout, and the unwavering support of the Washington, D.C. community on this unforgettable day of celebration.

What a fantastic day! Imarah Temple No. 286, Desert of DC had an absolute blast visiting Magnus Temple and Court for their Joint Family & Friends Day with Magnus Temple No. 3 and Magnus Court No. 100. Friendship, food, fellowship!

ImaraH Temple No. 286 Stands Tall at the "March on Washington 2026: Defend the Vote"

The Nobles of ImaraH Temple No. 286, Oasis of Washington, Desert of District of Columbia, demonstrated exemplary service and community leadership during the historic March on Washington 2026: Defend the Vote.

Working in coordination with the Deputy of the Desert of DC HPIP Les Walker Sr., the Nobles worked tirelessly to distribute water and snacks to the thousands of marchers gathered at the National Mall. Beyond keeping attendees hydrated, ImaraH Temple No. 286 served as ambassadors of hospitality, ensuring that visiting Nobles and Daughters traveling from across the domain were warmly welcomed to the Nation’s Capital.

Thank you to the Nobles of ImaraH Temple No. 286 for your dedication, fraternal spirit, and powerful representation of the Prince Hall Shriner community during this milestone event.
