Hundreds of migrant children who have been separated from their parents could be put up for adoption, according to a new report by the Associated Press. As the Trump administration struggles to reunite families, loopholes in the adoption process have already allowed some foster parents in the United States to adopt migrant children placed their custody. Deported parents aren't even being notified of the adoption proceedings.

The cruelty and indifference of Trump and his enablers never ceases to horrify me. The Republican party's platform of "family values" is nothing more than a cruel hoax. For the sake of the values we hold dear – and basic decency – we must reject this depravity at the ballot box on November 6th
