And last, but certainly not least, meet Caroline! Caroline is our Communications Chair and is a Senior double majoring in Marketing and Management! This past summer she interned at BlackRock in their HR department, and will be returning after graduation! "Trust your instincts," she says - you don't have to do what everyone else is doing - you know yourself best. Caroline also worked on founding MW in the summer of 2015, and has loved watching it grow.
Meet our Treasurer, Catherine! Catherine is a Senior double majoring in accounting and finance. Last summer, she interned for Ernst & Young in their FSO Assurance practice in NYC, where she will be returning full-time after graduation. There are so many resources available for students in the MSB, so take advantage of them all - especially creating a relationship with a professor you really admire. Catherine also ran a small business in high school which is still up and running!
Meet one of our Co-Chairs, Diandra! Diandra is Senior double majoring in Finance and OPIM. This past summer she interned for NBC Universal in their MediaTech Program working in the Information Security department. After graduation, Diandra is joining the Technology Advisory Program (TAP) at Ernst & Young in New York City. Diandra also has 4 older sisters and a younger brother, and all of their names start with the letter 'D', as do her mom and dad's!
Meet Sarah, our Junior Programming Chair! Sarah is a Senior majoring in marketing. Last summer she interned at an e-commerce start-up called SnobSwap, which focuses on luxury consignment, doing digital marketing. Her advice is to not freak out during recruiting season if you're not looking for a job in consulting or finance - go talk to Dean Cassidy, she gives great advice and can help guide you through the process. Sarah also danced ballet for 13 years!
Meet Co-Chair, Annie! Annie is double majoring in accounting and finance. This past summer, she interned at PwC in their Tax practice, and is returning to their Assurance practice in New York after graduation. She wants women in the business school to be able to stick up for themselves, network consistently, and be proactive in steering their career. Annie also has dual citizenship between the US and Ireland and hopes to be able to use her EU passport to work abroad in a few years!
Applications for 2017 Co-Chairs are open! Applications are due this Thursday, December 8th at noon.
Meet Brigitte, our Alumni Relations Chair! Brigitte is double majoring in Finance and OPIM. This summer, she interned for the Data Analytics team supporting HR at Bank of America in New York City and is returning full-time after graduation in May! Brigitte would like all women in the business school to take advantage of all opportunities and events that the MSB, and MW, have to offer! Brigitte has also backpacked through 24 countries in Europe, and hopes to add to that list this summer.
Meet Outreach Chair, Flor! Flor is a Senior, graduating this December, majoring in OPIM. Flor interned in Global Customer Experience at Google, and is starting full-time in January as an Associate Account Strategist. Her advice for other women in the MSB is to "be you and only you" - there is always pressure to fit into some-sort of mold, but it's so much easier to be authentic! Flor's full-name is Maria Florencia (shoutout to her motherland of Bueno Aires)!
Meet Programming Chair, Blair! Blair is a senior majoring in Finance, and will be returning as a full-time analyst to Alcentra Capital Corporation after interning there this past summer. For young women in MSB, Blair says to make going to office hours a regular habit! It will help your grades, sanity, and career. Fun fact: Blair almost played Lindsey Logan's sister in a movie!
