Georgetown University Office of Technology Commercialization The Office of Technology Commercialization at Georgetown University (OTC) is the university's resource for technology transfer and licensing efforts.

Welcome to the page of Georgetown University Office of Technology Commercialization. The duties of the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) include management of Georgetown invention disclosures, patenting and licensing activities, oversight of material transfer agreements and confidentiality agreements, and engagement of Georgetown University in the founding and growth of local businesses.

Mission: The Georgetown University Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) was instituted in 2002 to underscore the University's commitment to protecting the intellectual property and interests of Georgetown researchers and to strongly engage Georgetown in the economic development of the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

We are very excited for Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center Director Dr. Weiner to receive the 2019 AACR Distinguished Public Service Award in recognition of his extraordinary career in the field of cancer immunology and immunotherapy and for his contribution and proactivity in establishing the AACR Cancer Immunology Task Force and AACR Cancer Immunology Working Group. The AACR will present Distinguished Public Service Awards to Daniel D. Von Hoff, MD, FAACR; Louis M. Weiner, MD; and Nancy F. Goodman, JD at the 2019 Annual Meeting. These AACR awards recognize groundbreaking, innovative work throughout the cancer community.
