From Public Health Graduate to Future Doctor of Physical Therapy 💙
For one Allen College alumnus, Sydney Ross, a personal experience inspired a lifelong passion for helping others heal.
"When I was 11, my dad was involved in a farm accident that left him a paraplegic. Through that tragedy, I saw firsthand the incredible impact physical therapists have in helping individuals adapt, recover, and overcome life's challenges."
After earning a Physical Therapist Assistant degree and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field, Sydney chose Allen College's Public Health program for its flexibility, versatility, and online format that allowed her to continue working while advancing her education.
Today, the knowledge gained through public health continues to shape patient care, providing a deeper understanding of health education, community wellness, and the broader economic and global impact of healthcare.
We're excited that Sydney has chosen Allen College once again and will be returning this spring to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree!
