Location 2: Game Changer Brewhouse (Sherman Oaks) - 13730 Ventura Boulevard, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

As part of Cane Kickoff Orientation, Canes Take Flight welcomes incoming undergraduate and transfer students and their families to the University of Miami as they begin their journey at the U.

From making new friends to discovering campus traditions and preparing for life as a Hurricane, this orientation experience is where the adventure begins.

Two Canes are making Hollywood take notice. 💥

Congratulations to Meg Lewis and Rob Cassandro — both named to Variety’s Hollywood’s New Leaders: Class of 2026! Meg is VP of Production at Paramount, where she’s helped bring films like “Scream 7” and the upcoming “KPOP: The Debut” to life. Rob is a talent agent at Innovative Artists, repping some of the industry’s most exciting rising stars.

Our LA Summer Send-Off was everything we hoped for!🧡💚

We gathered to celebrate our incoming and transfer students and their families as they get ready to start their Miami journey and the energy in the room said it all.

Huge thank you to Ben and Mary Everard for opening up their home and welcoming our entire Canes family in. And a special shout-out to Jarred Dahlerbruch for taking the time to speak with our incoming freshmen before they head out to Miami. The advice and encouragement meant a lot.

To every alum, parent, and student who came out: thank you for making this such a special send-off. And, good luck to our newest Canes! We can’t wait to see what you do at the U
