At the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center this month, Purdue Animal Sciences students helped highlight the importance of agricultural livestock through Purdue University's Animal Ambassador Program. 🐖🐑🐮

From answering questions to giving families an up-close look at the animals that are at the heart of Indiana agriculture, these students made the fair an experience to remember.

With thousands of fairgoers stopping by exhibits to learn more about the people, animals and science behind Indiana agriculture, our students were able to share their passion while educating the public.

Know a student who’s interested in study abroad? ✈️

The Purdue University Agriculture Study Abroad Fair is happening today on the front lawn of the Agriculture Administration Building until 2:30 p.m. Students can explore the different opportunities available, including the “Food, Farming and Sustainable Futures” program.

This NRES Purdue-led program took a group of students to Iceland this summer, gaining a deeper understanding of how communities adapt, innovate and build resilience within agriculture.

Experiences like this gives Purdue University students the opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom and bring a fresh perspective back to campus.
