Butterfly Pompom Magnet Craft:

Materials needed:
Scissors
Glue (hot glue may work best for the pompoms)
Popsicle stick
Pompoms
Pipe cleaners
Googly eyes
Fun paper
Small sticker magnet (optional)

Directions:
1. Fold your paper in half and outline half of a butterfly’s wings that are about 3” H x 2.5” W
2. Cut out the outline of the wings, then unfold it
3. Glue popsicle stick onto the middle of the wings on the front side of your paper
4. Glue a big pompom at the top of the butterfly onto the popsicle stick. This is its head.
5. Cut the pipe cleaner to ~4” long and shape it into the butterfly’s antennas
6. Glue the antennas to the large pompom on the back of his head.
7. Glue smaller pompoms to the remaining ends of the stick to create its body.
8. Glue 2 googly eyes onto its “face”
9. Optional: Once the glue is dry, turn your butterfly over and stick your magnet to the back center of the wings.

PS: making a craft video with a 3-year-old is... challenging.

Side Walk Chalk Paint! 🎨🌞

Materials needed:
Old or new chalk
Containers to put chalk in (muffin tin, old food containers)
Water
Cheese grater OR hammer and plastic bag
Parchment paper (if making inside)
Something to stir with

Directions:
1. Lay down parchment paper for easy cleanup
2. Separate colors of chalk
3. Either grind up with grater or put chalk into plastic bag and hit with hammer-needs to be fine powder
4. Once finely milled, add to bowl or container- leave a little bit of powder out in case more water is used than needed.
5. Add water- start with a small amount and then add more if needed-the consistency is like pancake batter
6. Stir and set aside for 30-60 minutes
7. After letting it sit, stir and you are ready to use!
You can use your fingers or a paint brush and it washes away with water!!

Rainbow Streamer 🌈
I. A Streamer Rainbow is a fun activity for ages four and up that they can make to hang in the window during summer showers. Materials for this project include: (1) paper plate; (2) cotton balls; (3) different color tissue paper; (4) glue; (5) scissors; (6) measuring tape or ruler.
II. Steps to complete this project are:

3. You can either use judgement when cutting out the tissue paper strips or measure out about a footlong strip on 3 to 6 different colored tissue paper depending on the size of the plate.
4. Use real scissors to cut these strips out. (Safety scissors will not work cutting the tissue paper.)
5. On the inner portion rim of the plate, glue the color strips along the bottom of the paper plate.

• Large piece of paper
• Scissors
• Envelope

*Note Prompt*
I miss you when you’re far away.
I’d love to see you every day.
But since I can’t come over to play
I’m mailing you a hug today!
So, although it may be quite a sight.
Wrap my arms around you tight!
Repeat daily to keep your smile bright.
Until we get to reunite!
