Congratulations to our three Social Work graduates! 🎓

As a small but growing program, each graduating class holds a special place in our hearts, and this group is no exception. Over the past four years, these students have navigated change, growth, challenges, and many ups and downs with resilience and dedication.

We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and the professionals they are becoming. We know they will make a meaningful difference in whatever communities they serve, and we are excited to see the impact they will have.
Congratulations, graduates! We will miss you, and we are cheering you on as you begin this next chapter! 💚

2026 Honors Convocation at Wilmington College💚🤍 A day to honor the accomplishments of graduating seniors.

This year, Professor Laura Heller, presented the Award for Excellence in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Psychology, and Social Work.

Later in the ceremony, Jayden Clark and Jessica Crutchleo were inducted into the Green Key Society for excellence in scholarship after completing at least 90 semester hours with a 3.50+ GPA.

Community Day 2026💚🤍 A day full of service and fun for all students to enjoy!

The WC Social Work Program started Community Day at Sabina Elementary School as mentors in their Breakfast of Champions program. Once back on campus students enjoyed a complimentary buffet, corn hole, music, and much more.

Plus a special shout out to the stuffed squirrels and Audrey Wagstaff’s dog Dizzy!

Last Tuesday, Seniors: Jayden and Jessica, Sophomore’s: Elaine and Kenzie, and Professor Nick B***e represented WC at Ohio’s Social Work Advocacy Day.

Advocacy Day is a fantastic opportunity for social work students at any level across the state. It provides networking opportunities and strengthens macro practice social work. This years topics focused on funding for students pursuing a MSW at specific universities (HB 797), expanding criminal liability in relation to drug charges (HB 88), and the use of AI in therapy services (HB 525).

This year, Advocacy Day was also the day Nick B***e learned the Wilmington College hand sign🤍💚
