Valerie has transcended up the career ladder from critical care staff nurse to Unit manager, and Nursing Informatics Clinician. She received a Masters degree in nursing from Winston-Salem State University, Dream Coach Certification from world renowned coach Marcia Wieder in Corte Madera, California. Valerie is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Vice President of Education for Toastmasters International, Vice President of the North Carolina Nurse's Association, and Fellow of the Institute for Political Leadership.
