Today, our students had a meaningful meeting with Abror Mirzo Jo‘ramirzayev, a representative of the Fergana Regional Department of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a promoter of enlightenment and spirituality.

🎓 Strengthening International Collaboration

We were honored to welcome Takayuki Mori, Professor Emeritus of the University of Marketing & Distribution Sciences, along with members of his delegation, to the Riga Nordic University Fergana branch as part of an official visit from Japan.

During the visit, constructive and forward-looking discussions were held on strengthening academic cooperation, including opportunities for joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, shared academic initiatives, and long-term institutional partnership. Both sides expressed strong interest in developing mutually beneficial collaboration that supports innovation, internationalization, and academic excellence.

❄️ News from Riga Nordic University — Fergana Branch

During the winter holidays, a number of exciting activities are being organized to help students spend their free time meaningfully. ✨

🗓 On January 5, 2026, an unforgettable trip was arranged to the “Chirchiyik” mountain ski resort located in the Osh region of the neighboring Kyrgyz Republic. 🏔🇰🇬

Students and staff enjoyed the beauty of the winter season and took part in various activities such as:
🎿 skiing
🏂 snowboarding
🛷 balloon-tube sliding
🐎 horse riding

During the trip, our students also had a pleasant and friendly conversation with tourists visiting from India — an inspiring cultural exchange experience. 🌍🤝

Everyone had a wonderful and memorable time! 😍

On 19 December 2025, Riga Nordic University Fergana Branch held an official ceremony marking significant developments in the institution’s academic life. The event highlighted the university’s transition from ISMA University of Applied Sciences to Riga Nordic University, reflecting a renewed institutional identity and an expanded international academic vision.

The program also included the inauguration of the new Celebration Hall, designed to support academic, cultural, and ceremonial activities. In addition, first-year students were formally welcomed into the university community. The ceremony featured official addresses and a cultural program, underscoring the university’s commitment to academic excellence and community engagement.

On December 19, 2025, Riga Nordic University – Fergana Branch proudly hosted the “Opening a New Chapter” event, marking several important milestones in the university’s history.
The event primarily focused on the official rebranding of the university from ISMA University of Applied Sciences to Riga Nordic University, symbolizing a renewed vision, strengthened academic identity, and expanded international outlook.

✨ Another highlight of the celebration was the grand opening of the university’s new Celebration Hall, a modern space designed for academic, cultural, and ceremonial events, reflecting the institution’s commitment to quality education and student life.
🎓 The event also warmly welcomed the new cohort of freshmen students, officially introducing them to the Riga Nordic University academic community and wishing them success at the beginning of their higher education journey.

🇪🇺✨ Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Journey to UCLan Cyprus 🇨🇾

From 3rd to 7th November 2025, our team from Riga Nordic University (Uzbekistan Branch) had the wonderful opportunity to visit the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus) as part of the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Program.

Representing our university were Rector Prof. Khamzakhuja Abdurakhmonov and Mr. Mashkhur Pochchoev from the Marketing Department, who spent the week engaging in inspiring discussions, sharing experiences, and exploring new paths for collaboration.

Throughout the visit, our delegation met with:
🔹 Dr. Cosmina Theodoulou, Director of Academic Quality and Compliance, and the Erasmus Office team — for a fascinating premises tour and talks on curriculum mapping and academic development.
🔹 The Head and Academics of the School of Business and Management, where ideas flowed on joint teaching, research, and innovation opportunities.
🔹 Ms. Margarita Manoli, Head of the Student Support Department, who shared valuable insights on student engagement and career development for international and exchange students.
The atmosphere was filled with creativity, warmth, and mutual respect — a true reflection of what Erasmus+ stands for: connecting people, sharing knowledge, and building a stronger global academic community. 🌍💬

What an inspiring session it was! 💫

On November 7, 2025, we held another exciting edition of RNU TALKS at Riga Nordic University (Uzbekistan) — and this time, our audience traveled the world through stories from Bulgaria! 🇧🇬✈️

Our amazing students Sitora Numanova and Fayziyo Khabibullaev shared their unforgettable Work and Travel adventures, speaking about the people they met, the cultures they explored, and the lessons they learned about life and business beyond borders. 🌎

💬 The session also featured Mr. Abbosbek Komilov, Head of the RNU Admissions Office, who provided valuable insights into the Work and Travel Program — from the application process to real-life experiences abroad.

Sports unite us — and this week was a perfect example! 🌟

The Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health and Riga Nordic University (Uzbekistan Branch) came together for an exciting friendly football match between students and staff of both universities. 🏫⚽

The game was filled with energy, teamwork, and great spirit — a wonderful display of sportsmanship and friendship on and off the field! 🙌

While both teams played with passion and determination, the real victory was in the unity, collaboration, and positive energy shared between our universities. 💪🎉
