🌟 TEAM NEXUS MARKS UEF'S FIRST JOURNEY TO THE BACH KHOA INNOVATION GRAND FINAL
Four UEF students and one alumnus, one shared vision for the future of sustainable tourism. 🌱
🎓Formed in April 2026 by two students from the Faculty of Information Technology, one from the International Institute, and one alumnus from the Faculty of Economics, Team NEXUS set out to compete in Bach Khoa Innovation 2026 under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal from UEF's Center for Innovation, Transdisciplinary Research and Consultancy (CITRAC).
🏆Starting among 148 teams in the University Track, NEXUS advanced through three rounds of rigorous evaluation to reach the Grand Final on 12 September 2026 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, becoming the first UEF team to ever compete at this level.
💡Their innovation, KNĂ, is a regenerative tourism web app built on three pillars: blockchain-based revenue sharing between tour operators and local communities, digital preservation of community heritage, and carbon footprint tracking paired with real offset solutions.
🤝While the team did not place in the top five, their idea spoke for itself: two tour operators, one international and one local, have already reached out to explore partnerships, a strong signal of KNĂ's real-world market potential.
🌍UEF proudly celebrates Team NEXUS and Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal for a journey that reflects the innovation, interdisciplinary spirit and sustainability mindset we hope to see in every UEFer.
✨This may be the end of the competition, but for KNĂ, it feels like just the beginning.

🎓ĐIỀU KHÓ NHẤT KHI CHUẨN BỊ HỌC PHD KHÔNG PHẢI LÀ NỘP HỒ SƠ.
CV, chứng chỉ ngoại ngữ hay thư giới thiệu đều có thể chuẩn bị. Nhưng một câu hỏi khó hơn là: Bạn đã thực sự sẵn sàng cho hành trình nghiên cứu phía trước chưa?
🔎Bởi PhD không chỉ là một chương trình học. Đó là hành trình đòi hỏi khả năng nghiên cứu độc lập, tư duy phản biện và sự kiên trì để theo đuổi một vấn đề trong thời gian dài.
💭Trước khi bắt đầu, có lẽ mỗi người cần tự trả lời:
- Tôi thực sự muốn nghiên cứu điều gì?
- Làm thế nào để một ý tưởng trở thành một nghiên cứu có giá trị?
- Tôi đã sẵn sàng để đọc, đặt câu hỏi, tiếp nhận phản biện và làm việc độc lập?
📚Nhiều người dành rất nhiều thời gian để chuẩn bị hồ sơ PhD, nhưng lại chưa có đủ thời gian để chuẩn bị cho chính hành trình PhD.
👉Đó cũng là lý do Chương trình Pre-Doctoral Khóa 03 của UEF được tổ chức dự kiến khai giảng vào cuối tháng 10/2026, khóa học mong muốn giúp người học từng bước xây dựng nền tảng nghiên cứu, phát triển tư duy học thuật và định hình hướng đi phù hợp học viên trước khi bước vào một chặng đường dài hơn.

UEF PRE-DOCTORAL PROGRAMME THÁNG 10: HỌC CHUYÊN SÂU HƠN TRONG LỚP HỌC GIỚI HẠN

📚 Trong hành trình nghiên cứu, người học cần nhiều hơn những giờ tiếp nhận kiến thức. Đó còn là cơ hội được trao đổi những băn khoăn riêng, nhận góp ý cho từng định hướng nghiên cứu và từng bước tháo gỡ những vấn đề cụ thể trong quá trình học thuật.

🔎 Thấu hiểu điều đó, lớp Pre-doctoral Programme UEF khóa 3 dự kiến khai giảng vào tháng 10 được tổ chức với số lượng học viên giới hạn, hướng đến một không gian học tập có chiều sâu và tăng cường sự tương tác giữa người học với giảng viên.

✧ Giới hạn để mỗi câu hỏi học thuật có đủ thời gian được trao đổi và làm rõ.
✧ Giới hạn để mỗi học viên có cơ hội trình bày ý tưởng, nhận góp ý chuyên sâu và hoàn thiện định hướng nghiên cứu.

📚 On a research journey, learners need more than hours of taking in knowledge. They also need the chance to raise their own questions, get feedback on their research direction, and work through the specific problems that come up along the way.

🔎 With that in mind, the third intake of the UEF Pre-doctoral Programme, expected to open in October, is run with a limited number of learners. The aim is a learning space with real depth and closer interaction between learners and lecturers.

✧ Limited, so every learner can present their ideas, receive in-depth feedback, and refine their research direction.
✧ Limited, so the distance between learners and lecturers narrows through practical sharing, professional perspectives, and research experience.
