Today, we bid farewell to one of our own, Miss Alice Elise Jodie Tiligi Apulu ❤️

Since joining the Faculty as our Administrative Assistant in 2024, Alice has been an instrumental and much-valued member of our team. Her dedication, kindness, willingness to help and warm presence have left a lasting mark on our faculty family.

While we are sad to see her leave, we are incredibly proud of her as she begins this exciting new chapter in Japan through the JICA SDG Global Leader Scholarship, pursuing a Master’s in Social Development and Administration at Rikkyo University. 🇯🇵🎓

Thank you, Alice, for your hard work, support, laughter and friendship. You will certainly be missed, but we are excited to see all that lies ahead for you.

Congratulations on this incredible opportunity. Go well and make us proud! ❤️🇼🇸🇯🇵

“ROOCI – Rise Over Opposition and Conquer the Impossible”

On 13 August 2026, an inspiring seminar was held featuring a meaningful presentation by Afioga Fuimaono Viiga Fuimaono. The session focused on mindset, leadership, personal development, and capacity building, encouraging participants to see challenges not as enemies, but as opportunities to build strength, character, and growth. The seminar also highlighted that victory begins in the mind through positive thinking, faith, visualisation, and purposeful action.

The powerful message, “It’s time for us to rise and conquer the impossible,” reminded us that what we do today will reflect our future.

Faafetai tele lava to Afioga Fuimaono Viiga Fuimaono for the wonderful and inspiring presentation, and to everyone who participated and contributed to making the seminar a success. Your presence and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated!

Celebrating Fathers While Supporting World Breastfeeding Week 💙💛

Today, the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship came together to celebrate the wonderful fathers and father figures among our staff. We are grateful for the dedication, strength and care they show not only in the workplace but also in their roles as fathers, mentors and role models. ADVOCACY WORKSHOP SAMOA 2026.

The Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship is proud to celebrate the participation of 19 students from HCL001 Foundation Law, taught by Fesolai Aleni Sofara, in the Advocacy Workshop Samoa 2026, delivered under the umbrella of The Law Association of New Zealand, in partnership with the Samoa Law Society and the Pacific Justice Sector Programme. This marks the fourth consecutive year that our Foundation Law students have had the privilege of participating in this prestigious programme.

The 3-day workshop provided our students with invaluable early exposure to courtroom advocacy through interactive masterclasses, live demonstrations and practical performance sessions covering criminal advocacy, evidence and family law. Designed to give Foundation Law students practical experience before they progress to further legal studies, the programme allowed students to develop essential advocacy skills while engaging directly with leading practitioners and members of the judiciary.

The Faculty extends its sincere appreciation to Julie-Anne Kincade KC, Faculty Lead for the workshop; Paul Borich KC; distinguished members of the New Zealand Judiciary and senior members of the legal profession; as well as members of the Samoan Judiciary, including Honourable Chief Justice Satiu Simativa Perese, Justice Leiataualesa Daryl Clarke, Judge Talasa Lumepa Atoa Saaga, Judge Matautia Leota Raymond Schuster, and the wider local judiciary team, for sharing their expertise, guidance and time with our students.

Special recognition is also extended to Elaine Ward, President of the Pacific Lawyers Association and Senior Lawyer; and afioga Salā Josephine Stowers Kolo of Stowers & Su’a Lawyers for their invaluable support and coordination with our students throughout the programme, ensuring they were well guided, supported and able to fully engage in this significant professional development opportunity.

The Faculty is grateful for this exceptional opportunity provided to our students. Experiences such as these strengthen our students’ understanding of legal practice, build their confidence in advocacy and inspire them as they continue their journey towards the legal profession.
