Hi all! Mark your calendars, our final night out of the academic year is here! Next Thursday (23rd May) we will be heading out to celebrate the end of teaching (and hopefully for most the end of assignments and exams)! Pre-drinks are starting from 8pm at an address on Leazes Terrace (to be posted in the WhatsApp group), then we will head out to Pumphreys at around 10pm and finish the night somewhere else from around 11:30pm (suggestions welcome!). Hope to see you all there dancing the night away 🕺

Hi all! We hope you are all coping with deadline/exam season stress. We understand how difficult this time of the year is, so what better way to relax after assignments than a subsidised curry night with your fellow planners!

Tickets will be going on sale at 10:05am this Friday for a table at Dabbawal’s High Bridge branch on Wednesday 22nd May at 5pm. We’ll be dining from their Early Evening Menu which includes a starter and a main (see second slide)

Tickets are £5 for Planning Society Members and the rest of your food bill from the set menu will be heavily subsidised by the society (drinks NOT included). There are only 25 tickets up for grabs on NUSU so make sure you bhaji your way to the front of the queue to get a space! Hope to see you there :)

For everyone coming to the spring party, a reminder that the venue is Twenty Twenty

⏰ Arrival from 19:30, food served at 20:30

🥂 Welcome drinks of Beer or Prosecco

🍹 Drinks token entitles you to one Single House Spirit & Mixer, Budweiser Draught, Small House Wine, Prosecco, Bottles of Beer or Draught Cider

🍕 Buffet will be served from 20:15, if you arrive after the food has been served we cannot guarantee there will be any left

💃 Dress code is smart casual, jeans and a nice top vibes, but feel free to dress up if you would like to!

🪩 We plan on heading to at 23:30 where you will get 25% off drinks with your student ID!

We’re going to Zucchini Pasta Bar on the 5th of March at 7pm! 🍝

Tickets are live on NUSU and this covers a £5 deposit.

We’ve got a £12 set menu which includes a pasta dish and a soft drink 🥤

Your £5 deposit will be deducted from your total bill!

Tickets are on sale until tomorrow at 3PM so please be quick!

🚨calling all planning students🚨

On Wednesday 21st February we will be attending a Planning Committee at Gateshead Council.

This is a great way to gain more knowledge about how planning decisions are made. Applications which go to planning committee are usually larger in scale or controversial.

This is a great opportunity, so we hope to see a lot of you there.

On the 11th of February we’re heading down to Tynemouth!

Meet us at Tynemouth metro station for 11:30. You can jump on the metro from wherever suits you best, let us know if you need any advice! 🫶

We’re going to Tynemouth market, for a walk on the beach, and maybe getting some fish and chips!🍟🐟
