Honoring a Century of Excellence: Brother Bob Willis’s 100th Birthday
Today marks a historic milestone for the Beta Mu Chapter and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., as we celebrate the 100th birthday of a true fraternal icon, Brother Bob Willis.
Initiated into the Beta Mu Chapter at Kentucky State University in 1949, Brother Willis has spent the last 75 years embodying the highest ideals of our Brotherhood. His leadership record is peerless, having served as a two-time President of the Eta Lambda Chapter, Georgia District Director, and Southern Region Vice President. His strategic wisdom has guided the fraternity at the highest levels, serving as a senior advisor to five General Presidents and twice receiving the Award of Merit—the highest honor our fraternity bestows.
For the alumni and undergraduate brothers of the Beta Mu Chapter, Brother Willis represents the gold standard of servant leadership. He is not merely a part of our history; he is the foundation upon which our chapter’s legacy of excellence is built. We are profoundly grateful for his enduring commitment to mentorship, particularly his continued engagement with the younger generations of Beta Mu brothers. His life’s work serves as the definitive roadmap for every brother who wears the Torch.
On behalf of the entire Beta Mu lineage, we salute you, Brother Willis, on reaching this centennial landmark. Thank you for a century of leadership, vision, and unwavering manly deeds.
Happy 100th Birthday, Brother Willis!
