Sarah Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Bandipora has bagged one among the top prizes in the scientific model-making competition during the One-Day Cancer Awareness Seminar and Student Outreach Programme. The landmark event took place on 17 June 2026 at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora.

The high-profile seminar, titled "Cancer Prevention and Early Detection: Bridging Science, Awareness and Action," was jointly organized by The Watson-Crick Centre for Molecular Medicine (WCCMM) at IUST and the Kashmir Oncology Forum.
