Student Registration is now open for the 2020 Philadelphia/Main Line Health Professions School Expo on March 26!

The Health Professions Expo is a special opportunity for pre-health students to connect one-on-one with graduate health professional admissions staff as well as test prep and scribe companies, armed services scholarship program representatives, and special service and job opportunity programs. The open fair will be held in the Villanova room of Connelly Center on Thursday, March 26 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. A pre-fair session is scheduled at 3:00 pm in the Cinema and will focus on "The Professional School Interview." This session will provide advice on preparing for the interview, mock MMI vignettes, and a closing panel with an advisor, an experienced student who has been out on the interview trail, and an admissions office representative who interviews candidates for a "Dos and Don'ts" of interviewing and Q&A opportunity. The Villanova Chapter of the Scientista Foundation had the pleasure of attending the annual Scientista Symposium! Not only did we have a blast, but we also had the opportunity to learn from female leaders in their fields. It was a great way to network and build connections with other STEMM undergraduate and graduate students! ✨

The Scientista Foundation is currently recruiting pre-professional women in STEMM interested in attending the Scientista Symposium at Harvard University Medical School from March 29th to 31st, 2019! This is an amazing opportunity to network and connect with female leaders in the STEMM fields, and potentially obtain an internship over the summer. Not to mention that participants might be able to go to the conference for a reduced amount. Those who are engaging in research are encouraged to apply! Applications are due by 11:59 p.m on February 22nd, 2019. The Villanova Scientista chapter had such a wonderful time attending the 2018 Scientista Symposium this past weekend at the Microsoft Technology Center! Highlights included having our co-presidents, Isra Munir and Giselle Fernandes, speak on a panel about starting a Scientista chapter and being undergraduate women in a STEM field. We were also extremely grateful for the opportunity to meet and connect with Kristy Wallace, a Villanova alum and the CEO of Ellevate Network, a global network for professional women!
