The Carol Autorino Center of the Arts and Humanities at The University of Saint Joseph celebrates the 20th anniversary of the 5x5 Dance Festival, November 5 & 6 2021. One of the state's most important dance events, the festival features interaction between professional and collegiate dancers. Annual performances and master classes are held at the Center's Bruyette Athenaeum in

West Hartford, Connecticut. Professional choreographers/company’s and college dance departments interested in participating in the festival must submit an online application. College dance departments include an application fee.

The university has named a black box space in its new Fries Arts Building for Lin-Manuel Miranda, a 2002 graduate who staged an early version of his “In the Heights” there.

ANNOUNCING the fifth & final session of our “Dance Across CT” classes: 2:30-3 with from .224 !!!🎉

These classes will be a dance community event showcasing a sampling of CT Dance Classes/Studios offering training opportunities to professional dancers, aspiring pre-professional dancers, and adults! The theme for 5x5 this year is Community. The whole event will be dedicated to celebrating and strengthening our state’s diverse dance community!

We believe that through this event, we can foster a more connected community by sharing and learning from each other’s different styles and teaching philosophies with the common goal of enriching our dance community. You’re invited to join us from 12:30-3 for 5 awesome mini master classes, each representing classes that are being offered throughout the state for the professional, pre-professional, and adult dance community. Come experience a sample of class, and use these classes as a guide for where to find further training in CT!
