Today, the Brothers of the Xi Nu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., alongside brothers from Area II, gathered to honor our charter member and beloved brother, J.W. Vaughn, on his 70th Anniversary of membership in Alpha Phi Alpha.

Brother Vaughn was presented with his 70 Year Anniversary Pin and shared fellowship with brothers across generations of Alpha men.

Through every season, both prosperous and challenging, Brother Vaughn has remained a true example of commitment, integrity, service, and brotherhood. His life and legacy set a standard for all brothers on what genuine fraternity and accountability should look like.

We salute and thank you, Brother Vaughn, for 70 years of steadfast service to Alpha Phi Alpha.

2026 Louisiana Alpha Day at the Capital was a success! There was representation from over 14 Chapters across the Louisiana District of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. meeting with Legislators advocating and networking for our various communities. Today these brothers made sure our voices was heard.

Dear Friends,

We are calling upon all Pastor’s, Community Leaders and all people who love freedom, justice, and quality to join us at the La. State Capitol in Baton Rouge for the 1st La. Redistricting Hearing in the State Senate. The Hearing is this Friday, May 8, 2026 for 9 a.m. We need to organize 1,000 or more people to be at the Capitol no later than 8:30 a.m. We will assemble in the Rotunda singing We Shall Overcome.
