UWEC Student Office of Sustainability The Student Office of Sustainability The Student Office of Sustainability is a Student Senate commission responsible for allocation of the green fund.

We are excited to announce our annual Pick It Up & Pass It On event for the Spring 2026 semester!!

For FREE, come donate and dispose of:
E-waste like TVs, Batteries, etc.
Unwanted furniture like futons, bedframes, desks, etc.
Mattresses to be recycled
Scrap metals to be recycled
Household items like desks, lamps, drawers, etc.
Craft supplies for the library makerspace
Bikes
Unopened food items
Trash and furniture disposal

If you have old bikes collecting dust in your garagae, consider bringing them to donate at Earth Fest '26! Students are working to start a bike share program on campus and what better way to do so than with donated bikes.

During the event you Compass Bike Lab will be collecting and then later fixing donated bikes so that students can use them in the new program. Please don’t bring bikes beyond repair. If you have questions please email use at [email protected].

Help students get a head start on their careers by donating business professional and casual clothing for interviews and new jobs at Earth Fest '26! At the moment the greatest need is for suits, suit jackets, blazers, ties and shoes, as well as size small and medium in any type of professional clothing.

If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected]. This is a great resource for students and a great way for some clothes sitting in your closet to get reused!
