Good day,

The First Semester Bar Exam was held last October 20, 2018. With deepest regret, I must announce that none of the two takers had passed the exam. Without a passer, no Roll of Successful Examinees will be issued and no Oathtaking will take place.

However, not all is lost. A Bar Exam will be administered in the second semester and classes will be held. The schedule for both will be announced within the first two weeks of the second semester.

Good day,

The exam will be held on Saturday, 20th of October 2018 in the CSG Office (STC 204) at 1.30 PM. The exam will have 85-90 items to be answered in 120 minutes.

It will cover the following topics: The 2005 XU-CSG Constitution, The 2011 Omnibus Election Code, The Revised Rules of Court 2018 (Rules on Documents, Pre-trial and Trial, and Judgments, pp. 12-40), and Public Legal Documents. A link to the review materials is provided.

Any aspiring Legal Student Counsel who is a bona fide student of Xavier University may take the exam.

Here are the files in preparation for the 2018 First Semester Bar Exam:

The Exam will:
-Be held on October 20, 2018 Saturday
-Have 80 to 100 Items
-Be answerable in 1.5-2.0 hours
-Have some questions related to the coverage but may require previous research

These details will remain effective until a memorandum is posted. A memorandum containing the full and final details of the exam will be released on around Oct 6, 2018, no later than Oct 14, 2018.

Any aspiring Legal Student Counsel may take the Bar Exam.

The JAE has come to an end. To those who passed, congratulations. Your hard work and efforts did not go unnoticed. To those who have failed, this is not the end; there will still be Bar Exams in both semesters.

First takers of the JAE must bring an excuse letter signed by an appropriate authority. The exam will be administered in STC 603. You may bring only hard copies of the documents. The exam will be administered on the follow schedules:

July 28 (Sat) 4-6 or 6-8 PM
August 2 (Thu) 10-12 AM
August 3 (Fri) 1-3 PM

The official final results will be released right before the Oathtaking Ceremony.

First Batch of JAE; Special JAE

Good day,

The first batch of the JAE has been checked. You will be contacted through text whether you have passed or failed. Passers only need to wait for the Oathtaking Ceremony. Those who have failed need to retake the exam.

The exam will be extended until the 2018 CSG Oathtaking Ceremony. However, as of today, there is no set date for the ceremony. The current deadline of the JAE is August 5, 2018.

First takers of the JAE must bring an excuse letter signed by an appropriate authority. The exam will be administered in STC 603. You may bring hard copies of the documents. The exam will be administered on Saturdays at 4-6 and 6-8 PM.

The official final results will be released right before the Oathtaking Ceremony.

The Integrated bar of XU-CSG is the official association of "student lawyers" in CSG. It is the institution in CSG in charge of certifying students who may practice law within CSG, referred to as Legal Student Counsels (LSCs).

LSCs are the only students qualified to represent parties in any court in CSG. LSC are also consulted about legal matters and may be tasked to be Legal Counsels in various offices, most notably in ELECOM and COA.
